En seguimiento a una solicitud de extradición signada por autoridades de Suecia, el fundador de Wikileaks ha sido arrestado a las 9:30 hrs., de Londres por oficiales de la unidad de extradición de Scotland Yard (Metropolitan Police Extradition Unit), cuando compareciera a atender una citación en la Estación Central de Policía. La detención es con motivo de la sospecha de las autoridades solicitantes por cargos de actos piscosexuales sancionados por la legislación penal de dicha latitud.
Miembros del equipo de Julian Assange han advertido atinadamente que dichos actos privativos de la libertad emanados de autoridad no embarazarán en forma alguna la fluida propalación de más cables y medios de probar diversos hechos y actos como los que hasta el momento se han hecho del dominio urbi et orbi…
Aunque diversos gobiernos han instruído a los medios de comunicación a su servicio el tratar de soslayar, minimizar e inclusive ignorar la derrama de información Wikileaks, sin duda dicha tarea informativa es y seguirá siendo de gran impacto trascendental...
A pesar de la trillada cantaleta con dejo "sentimentaloide", en el sentido de que dicha filtración informativa podría poner en riesgo la vida de las tropas de los Estados Unidos y de sus aliados desplegadas por doquier, los oponentes que defienden la usurpada soberanía jurisdiccional de sus pueblos, muy bien saben que dichos elementos castrenses no están ahí de vacaciones o por placer; por el contrario, ellos saben que a 'El Leviatán' del imperialismo yanqui poco le importa la vida de tanta juventud desperdiciada en dichas tareas, mismos soldados que atentos su fortaleza podrían ser canalizados o encauzados a otras tareas de mayor envergadura y trascendencia humanitaria, sin derramar sangre inútilmente, ni enlutar hogares, cesando así de despojar furtiva y violentamente a otros pueblos de sus riquezas patrimoniales y extrapatrimoniales, sin perjuicio de la imprescriptibilidad de las acciones criminales inherentes a crímenes de guerra, delitos de lesa humanidad, genocidio y otros delitos graves en agravio de la sociedad civil inocente. Otro factor que bien podría evitarse o ser sensiblemente disminuído, es la creciente incidencia de suicidios de veteranos de guerra y soldados en activo.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was arrested by officers from Scotland Yard's extradition unit today.
The 39-year-old Australian was held when he attended a central London police station by appointment.
He is now expected to appear before a district judge at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court later today.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Officers from the Metropolitan Police Extradition Unit have this morning arrested Julian Assange on behalf of the Swedish authorities on suspicion of rape.
"Julian Assange, 39, was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant by appointment at a London police station at 9.30am.
"He is accused by the Swedish authorities of one count of unlawful coercion, two counts of sexual molestation and one count of rape, all alleged to have been committed in August 2010.
"Assange is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court today."
Police contacted Mr Stephens last night after receiving a fresh European Arrest Warrant from the Swedish authorities.
The first warrant, issued last month, was not valid as officials had failed to fill in the form properly.
Detectives in Sweden want to question Mr Assange after two women claimed they were sexually assaulted when he visited the country in August.
Solicitor Mark Stephens said his client was keen to discover what allegations he was facing so he could clear his name.
He said: "It's about time we got to the end of the day and we got some truth, justice and rule of law.
"Julian Assange has been the one in hot pursuit to vindicate himself to clear his good name.
"He has been trying to meet with her (the Swedish prosecutor) to find out what the allegations are he has to face and also the evidence against him, which he still hasn't seen."
Meanwhile, PostFinance, the financial arm of the Swiss post office, said it had closed Mr Assange's account after he provided "false information".
The bank said he falsely claimed to live in Geneva and people who do not live in Switzerland cannot hold accounts. WikiLeaks used the account for donations.
The sex case is Mr Assange's most pressing legal issue, but may not be his last as several countries chew over the impact of his diplomatic cable disclosures.
He has come under growing pressure after his WikiLeaks site started publishing excerpts from a cache of 250,000 secret messages.
Former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has described him as "an anti-American operative with blood on his hands".
Senior Republican Mike Huckabee said that "anything less than execution is too kind a penalty".
WikiLeaks was forced to move to a Swiss host after being dumped by US internet companies as it comes under siege from a series of cyber attacks.
Meanwhile, all Government departments have been asked by national security adviser Sir Peter Ricketts to review their computer security.
A spokesman for City of Westminster Magistrates' Court said Mr Assange must appear before 12.30pm, unless a judge gives special permission for a later hearing.
He said: "We do not know what is happening at the moment. We have not been told. 12.30pm is the cut-off time.
"If they cannot produce him before then, we will have to wait for a decision from the judge, whether he or she gives permission."
Mr Assange was mobbed by photographers as he arrived at court with Mr Stephens and the rest of his legal team.
He is due to appear before District Judge Caroline Tubbs in court one at 2pm, court staff said.
Speaking outside court, Mr Stephens said his client is "fine".
Asked about the meeting with police, he replied: "It was very cordial. They have verified his identity.
"They are satisfied he is the real Julian Assange and we are ready to go into court."
A WikiLeaks spokesman said the arrest will not disrupt the release of further leaked cables tonight.
Speaking via Twitter, he said: "Today's actions against our editor-in-chief Julian Assange won't affect our operations: we will release more cables tonight as normal."
Supporters of Mr Assange were told to protest against censorship outside the Horseferry Road court house on several websites.

MÉXICO, D.F., 9 de diciembre (apro).- El presidente de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, y el primer ministro ruso Vladimir Putin, salieron en defensa de Julian Assange, el fundador del portal WikiLeaks, y reprobaron que haya sido detenido.
Desde Brasilia y Moscú, respectivamente, Lula y Putin consideraron que la detención de Assange, registrada el martes en Londres por una solicitud del gobierno sueco, representa una “atentado” contra la libertad de expresión.
Para Da Silva el culpable no es Assange, “sino quien escribió una bobada”, dijo en alusión al contenido de los cables secretos del Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos revelados por WikiLeaks; además, lamentó el “silencio” de la prensa internacional.
“Quiero manifestar mi protesta contra ese atentado a la libertad de expresión. Utilizaré el blog de la Presidencia para expresar mi protesta", dijo Lula en un acto oficial en el Palacio de Planalto.
Luego, agregó: “El joven que estaba poniendo en dificultades a la diplomacia de Estados Unidos fue detenido y hasta ahora no he visto ninguna protesta defendiendo la libertad de expresión”.
Lula recordó que Assange es víctima de una feroz persecución desde que comenzó a difundir documentos secretos de Estados Unidos sobre las invasiones a Irak y Afganistán; y puso en ridículo a los sistemas de seguridad y espionaje estadunidenses.
Aunque la detención de Assange responde a sendas denuncias por acoso y violencia sexuales, la defensa del fundador de WikiLeaks asegura que se trata de una “conspiración” de los “poderes oscuros”, furiosos porque desnudó sus formas de hacer diplomacia.
Lula da Silva reiteró que para Brasil el contenido de los documentos es “insignificante” y quien tiene que estar preocupado en Estados Unidos, ya que fueron vulnerados sus sistemas de protección de datos secretos.
Paralelamente, desde Moscú, Vladimir Putin también criticó la detención de Assange y, de paso, a la diplomacia de Estados Unidos por poner en duda las bases democráticas de Rusia.
"Si hay democracia, entonces que sea absoluta. ¿Para qué han encerrado al señor Assange en la cárcel? ¿Esto qué es, democracia?", cuestionó el primer ministro ruso.
En conferencia de prensa, Putin cuestionó el servicio diplomático estadunidense, el cual, dijo, no es una fuente cristalina y limía de información.
Putin también aprovechó para salir al paso de las críticas sobre el retroceso de la democracia rusa vertidas por la diplomacia estadunidense, según las filtraciones de WikiLeaks.
"Nosotros en el campo decimos lo siguiente: sólo muge la vaca del vecino pero nunca la nuestra. Esa es mi respuesta para los colegas norteamericanos", dijo."
